Hi friends, now I want to tell you about how to play scrabble easily. Before that I will explain what it is scrabble? Scrabble is a word game in which two to four players score points by placing tiles, each bearing a single letter, onto a gameboard which is divided into a 15×15 grid of squares. I was with my group got the inspiration after “Writing for Gen. Communication” lectures in SALC (Self-Access Learning Center) to make an article about how to play scrabble. So, let’s get started..!
Step 1
Prepare the scrabble tools.
Step 2
Get a pen and paper to keep score.
Step 3
Set up the board in the middle of the playing area.
Step 4
Each player takes a rack for arranging their tiles and places it in front of them.
Step 5
Each player takes 7 tiles from the bag and put it in to their rack. The player who has the tile nearest the beginning of the alphabet, with the blank preceding “A”, plays first.
Step 6
The first player combines two or more of their tiles to form a word and places them on the board to read either across or down with one tile on the centre square (star).
Step 7
The next player put their tiles in one continuous line horizontally or vertically.
Step 8
The small number in the corner of each tile is showing the point.
Step 9
Example you have a word “COME”, so the point that you get is 8 (from 3 + 1 + 3 + 1 ).
Step 10
Premium letter squares: A light blue square doubles the score of a letter placed on it. A dark blue square triples the score of a letter placed on it.
Premium word squares: A light red square doubles the score of the word. A dark red square triples the score of the word.
